Il Nuovo Vocabolario della Moda Italiana celebra il made in Italy contemporaneo a partire dal 1998, anno che rappresenta il concreto passaggio al nuovo mondo interconnesso del web.
Marchi e creativi che in meno di due decenni ne hanno recuperato e rinnovato il DNA culturale e tecnico trascrivendolo in un linguaggio originale.
Il Nuovo Vocabolario analizza questo linguaggio attraverso le molteplici espressioni del lavoro dei suoi protagonisti: dal prêt-à-porter allo streetwear; dalle calzature agli occhiali; dai bijoux ai cappelli, in un inedito racconto di stile e produttività.
Nel volume – edito in occasione della mostra alla Triennale di Milano -, convivono molteplici visioni che, grazie ad un ricco apparato iconografico, raccontano il nuovo made in Italy nella sua totalità: moda, fotografia, illustrazione, editoria indipendente e fashion film.
